Oxford Inspires' working groups

Working groups

Oxford Brookes University Liaison Group
This group meets three times a year to discuss how Oxford Inspires can carry out its work most effectively and to enable the University to contribute more, and to benefit more directly, from that work.

University of Oxford Liaison Group
This group has a similar purpose to the Brookes Liaison Group, and also meets three times a year.

Sustainable Institutions Group

The aim of the Sustainable Institutions Group is to encourage the four Oxford-based stakeholders of Oxford Inspires—Oxford Brookes University, the University of Oxford, Oxfordshire County Council and Oxford City Council—to work together to improve their own sustainability practices and thereby to lead by example. This general aim translates into four more specific objectives:

1. To share and develop good practice in environmental management and effectively to publicise (both internally and externally) the good environmental practices in the four institutions

2. To seize opportunities for joint working on sustainability issues

3. To provide models for other organisations

4. To complement the work of local strategic partnerships.

Festivals Advisory Group

The aims of the Festivals Advisory Group are to develop and strengthen festival culture in Oxfordshire, to maintain optimal working relations with festival promoters and cultural organisations throughout the county and to help develop the strongest possible links between the 'Oxfordshire's Festivals' theme of the 2007 programme and the other themes.
