Sound and visual artists, scientists and gardeners have been collaborating at the University of Oxford's Botanic Garden. The goal is to explore each other's worlds and the subject of dusk and twilight (a time of day called "the magic hour" by photographers). These explorations, assisted by community groups and schools around Oxford, are inspiring new works of art and compositions which examine and celebrate the natural world..

The Magic Hour culminates in a three night event from 4-6 September when visitors will be able to explore the Garden at dusk. Come and enjoy an experience of sounds, sights and impromptu performances by the new sonic inhabitants.

A collaboration between the Garden and Oxford Contemporary Music, Oxford Inspires is proud to launch our Planet Earth Season with The Magic Hour. Tickets are £5 each and the performance begins at 7.00pm. For bookings, please call 01865 305 305 or visit www.ocmevents.org.

Pop in to Quod on The High just a few minutes stroll from The Botanical Gardens. Show your Magic Hour ticket to receive a complimentary glass of wine with your supper. Offer available Thursday 4th - Saturday 6th September. We would love to see you for an early supper or after the event.
