Moving image: Bus company wishes many happy
'returns' to Oxfordshire
Monday 26 June, 2006
Oxford Inspires has found a
moving way to herald the county's millennium
celebrations next year—wrapped around a bus!

After projecting
Oxfordshire 2007's new emblem on to one of the giant cooling stations
at Didcot, the cultural development agency for Oxfordshire has teamed
up with The
Oxford Bus Company to flag up Oxfordshire 2007's new symbol on a red
single decker bus. The brand new livery was unveiled in Woodstock during
a special launch at The Feathers Hotel on Thursday 22 June.
The dedicated bus will be seen
in the city and beyond over the coming months, along the Oxford–Abingdon
route.
"We are proud to be one
of the first companies to display the new emblem" said managing director
Philip Kirk, "The Oxford Bus Company was a sponsor of Evolving City
last year and we look forward to a continuing association over the coming
months in the run up to Oxfordshire 2007."
Oxford Inspires will be coordinating
and promoting a range of special
events next year, in addition to the county's lively mix of festivals.
It is keen to bring local businesses and arts organisations together for
the celebrations: Oxfordshire companies wishing to take part should contact
Kathelene Weiss at kathelene.weiss@oxfordinspires.org
or on 01865 816394.
