Accessibility

Accessible web content is the New Media age equivalent of wheel-chair ramps: it's about enabling disabled people to do what most of us take for granted. Under the 1995 Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), all industries which deal directly with the public are required to make their service equally available to everybody, including the visually or physically impaired.

The Oxford Inspires website interface has been developed by Domino Systems UK web agency in order to meet the following Accessibility coding standards:

How to use the Accessibility features

The accessibility features built into all the pages on this site allow users to enlarge the text in their internet browser settings and to navigate the site without the need to see images.

Instructions for Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 and above

  • Open Internet Explorer
  • Choose 'View' from the drop down menu at the top of the window
  • From the list of options choose 'text size'
  • From the next list of options select 'largest'

The text on the web page should now appear larger.
