Evolving City

Evolving City explored and celebrated the changing nature of Oxford throughout 2005. The year saw hundreds of events, designed to encourage people to explore the city, its future, its scientific activity, its local culture, its festivals and its European partnerships.

Evolving City was funded by lottery money from the Millennium Commission and Arts Council England through the Urban Cultural Programme. Additional contributions came from Oxford City Council, Oxfordshire County Council, Arts Council England South East and SEEDA.

Support received from corporate sponsors helped Oxford Inspires, the coordinating agency, to support and promote Evolving City on behalf of all the organisations whose work made up the programme.
