Teenagers
on nature - Hear from the Ground
The 03
Gallery at the Oxford Castle has a new audio installation
of teenagers from Cowley and Blackbird Leys talking
about what nature and climate change mean to them.
The audio lasts 12 minutes, but you can listen on
headphones for as long as you like while you go around
the gallery.
The project coordinators, Eka Morgan and Flora Gathorne-Hardy,
walked with the group up the Wittenham Clumps and
showed them round the Northmoor
Trust. These young people rarely get out into
the countryside and the effect of just a simple walk
in nature was transformative. Reactions to the audio
have included: “very, very moving” and
“incredibly powerful stuff.”
The Hear from the Ground Project is an Oxford
Inspires project funded by Artists
Project Earth.
Venue: 03
Gallery (off Paradise Street, inside Oxford Castle)
