An independent evaluation
Monday 15 May, 2006
"The sheer amount of cultural
activity on offer…has been a revelation"
"We feel privileged to
have been part of the Evolving City programme and are hugely grateful
for the support and funding."
"A highly successful mechanism
for drawing attention to, and creating audiences for, the range of cultural
activities taking place in the city."
The Evolving City evaluation report
presents the findings of an independent evaluation of the Evolving
City programme.
Tameron Chappell and Louise
Harriss, an independent research partnership, were commissioned by Oxford
Inspires in December 2004 to investigate the development of Evolving City
and to establish whether the programme had met its stated objectives.
The evaluators used multiple methods of gathering information to inform
this report: in-depth interviews, focus groups, telephone interviews,
observations at events, scrutiny of documentation and project self-evaluations
and monitoring forms.
