SAE Oxford Open Day - In Tune For A Sound Future
If you're looking for a future career in sound engineering or digital film making then the SAE Institute Open Day at Littlemore Park, Oxford is the place to be this weekend.
You can meet the experts and discover how you can study for an Audio Engineering Diploma or Degree BA (Hons) when you visit the campus this Sunday, 21st February from 11.00 am to 5.00pm
Tour the state-of-the-art recording studios! A professional student consulting team will be on hand to answer all your academic questions, with information on courses and potential job outcomes.
This Aladdin's Cave of audio opportunity includes demonstrations by Diploma Lecturer Gareth Green, giving drum and piano recording workshops. If you have an ear for surround sound, then the ICON Studio demo is the place to be to tuned into or you can learn more about the finer points of guitar and vocal recording.
For those pure sound enthusiasts,you can see a 1978 Neve VR console, famous for giving that classic iconic warm sound when recording. This is being installed in Studio 4.
And if your sights are set on studying the SAE Tonmeister post graduate masters level programme, then its worth having a chat with SAE Tonmeister Programme Co-ordinator and record producer Ian Wallman, who will be on hand to discuss this unique opportunity.
If you want to capture your future on film their will be chance to visit the magnificent Green Screen studio. The college is now accepting applications for the Autumn 2010 Film Diploma & Degree programmes.
