Harvest Festival: 9 - 12 September 2011
Harvest Festival is the end-of-summer celebration for the whole family that showcases the very best of the British food scene alongside a soundtrack of the finest bands around. Now in its third successful year at Jimmy Doherty’s farm in Suffolk, the foodie feast comes to the Cotswolds for the first time this year.
Presented by Blur bassist Alex James, Harvest Festival will take place on the musicians’ own estate in Kingham, Oxfordshire. Over the course of the four day event, chefs including Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, Richard Corrigan, Rachel Allen and Mark Hix will cook up a storm, as they share their own secrets and tips with festival-goers both on the chef demo stage and elsewhere.
The festival soundtrack will be provided by the likes of KT Tunstall, Fat Freddy’s Drop and Jo Whiley (to name but a few!), and family entertainment is taken care of thanks to Charlie and Lola and My Daddy Cooks, as well as special children’s cookery classes and craft workshops.
