Film Something Funny for Money!
This Saturday, StopMoGo is inviting the people of Oxford to 'Film Something Funny for Money' in Radcliffe Square for Comic Relief and Red Nose Day. Emma Dougherty, founder of StopMoGo, and a team of animators of all ages (children & adults) will be sharing the secrets of stop motion animation by dressing people up in funny costumes as if by magic, making them fly, bounce red noses in mid-air, to name but a few of the treats in store! Best of all, the donations collected from making people’s funny films will all go to Comic Relief.
Saturday 12th March, 2.00pm - 4.00pm
To add to the day’s surprises, Emma will also be inviting people to make a donation to eat a piece of her RAD Cake-a-rama, a 15kg edible sculpture of the Radcliffe Camera that took over 80 hours to make.
To pay homage to the magnificent setting, an inspiration to much of Emma’s art work, StopMoGo’s animators will be brightly dressed in colourful bowler hats (like Oxford porters) and mortar boards, whilst members of the public are to be festooned in red costumes.
Come along, have fun and help change countless lives for the better!
