Bring a Pound to Work Day: Friday 16 April
The Lord Lieutenant of Oxfordshire and President of the Oxfordshire Community Foundation, Tim Stevenson OBE, is urging all Oxfordshire businesses to encourage their staff to dress in blue for the day and donate a pound on Friday 16th April. Oxfordshire Community Foundation is a charity run by local people that makes grants to other voluntary groups across the county. To date, they have given over £2½ million to over 750 local community groups.
Amongst those supporting the Bring a Pound to Work Day are Barclays Corporate, Elsevier and Henmans. Ian Workman, Head of Region for Barclays, said, 'We are proud to be associated with OCF as it is the most effective way of giving to the Oxfordshire community.'
