‘Bright Young Things’ to be Showcased at Oxford Creative Event
Oxfordshire-based creative hub ‘Bright Young Things’ announces an exciting and inspiring event that will see 20 of the county’s emerging creatives display, promote and sell their work for one week in August.
The select group of 20 creatives will include local students and graduates from a variety of disciplines including ceramics, fashion, fine art, millinery and jewellery. The event in Oxford town centre aims to showcase and sell their work at affordable prices to help raise the profile of local talent and raise money for local charity ‘The Art Room’.
The exhibition is open to the public from 23rd – 29th August, Mon to Fri 9.00am - 6.00pm, Sat 10,00am - 5.00pm and Sun 10.00am - 4.00pm at The Gallery, Oxford Town Hall. Entrance is free and donations for ‘The Art Room’ are welcome. Art Material donations will also be collected on behalf of The Art Room, as will Art Books which will be collected on behalf of The Project Room.
Organiser, Emma Diffey, a BA Hons graduate from Central St Martins, commented: “Oxford is home to an incredibly talented mix of creatives just waiting for an opportunity to showcase their work. There was a gap in the market for an event like this in Oxford, so I felt driven to make it happen and celebrate the artists of the future!”
Local Sponsors have helped make this event a reality, including 86 Creative and The Oxford Wine Company.
