Are you an artist in Love? Worton Park is looking for artists to exhibit
Worton Park is accustomed to hosting celebrations of love at the regular weddings held at the Park’s stunning 18thcentury Rectory and fabulous pool-side Blue Room. But next May Worton will be hosting lovers of a different kind – art lovers!
Local artists and art groups can make a date with Worton for Art Weeks from 5 – 13 May 2012, to exhibit work in an exhibition which will be themed ‘Love Is….’
Work can be submitted in any art form, including sculpture, pottery, jewellery, and paintings. With extensive grounds at Worton, which has a beautiful rural location near Cassington, just outside Oxford city centre, it is possible that art works for outdoors can be considered.
Mandy Constance, Director of Worton Park, says, “For our first year, we thought that a celebration of Love would be the perfect theme for our contribution to Art Weeks next year. I am really looking forward to seeing how artists interpret what Love Is….”
“We are so excited about opening up Worton for Art Weeks. During 2011 we have invested considerably in building work and upgrading the facilities, including a large new conservatory for our Blue Room. Visitors will be able to come and see what we have done here, as well as see the wonderful artists we are expecting to exhibit.”
