An exhibition and series of events at the O3 Gallery: Editions of You
Editions of You celebrates handmade editions and releases created by musicians and takes the form of an exhibition, zine fair, live music events, talks and happenings. Editions of You is curated and programmed by Oxford Brookes University Popular Music Research Unit, Oxford Contemporary Music and O3 Gallery, in association with Oxford Castle.
The exhibition includes sculptural work by Fine artist Lustrous Chemistry created specifically for the O3 Gallery space, plus an exquisite selection of handmade musical editions, many of which are available to buy. Confirmed performers include Dolly Dolly who will provide an eclectic and eccentric DJ set for the private view/launch party and The Bumblebees who will perform along with label mates from the Bristol label Local Kid. Editions will be included from bands such as Sleeps in Oysters and sonic artists such as Felix Ford.
There are a number of events running alongside the Editions of You exhibition:
Live ‘Thursdays’
31st March, 7th April, 14th April, 21st April, 6.00pm – 8.00pm
Forming part of the O3 Gallery’s performance programme ‘Alternative Thursdays’, these evening events will showcase performances from self releasing artists, bands and DJs, and create a forum for discussions with the leading UK thinkers on the subject.
‘Zine’ Fair
9th April, 11.00am – 6.00pm
Buy extraordinary special edition releases and music zines that you won’t find in the shops at this all day event in Castle Street Square.
