The Hub
The Hub, produced by Oxford Inspires for BBC Oxford, returned for its final series from 20th March – 17 April 2011.
Originally in 2007, this weekly programme focused on contemporary music and was produced by OCM. Since then, it evolved to become a cultural magazine show about Oxfordshire, produced by Oxford Inspires with volunteer assistance from students at Oxford Brookes University and cultural organisations around the county. Highlights of final series included coverage of Dancin’ Oxford, Artweeks and The Sunday Times Oxford Literary Festival, as well as Oxford Jazz Festival and the Oxford Contemporary Music spring season.

Oxford Inspires' Cultural Platform was held on Tuesday 14 June 2011 at Oxford Brookes University’s Harcourt Hill Campus in Oxford.
Our speakers were Professor Janet Beer, the Vice Chancellor of Oxford Brookes University and Professor Andrew Hamilton, Vice Chancellor of the University of Oxford, who shared with us their personal perspectives on contemporary cultural issues and the value of culture in modern society.
