Call for Stall Holders: Folk Weekend Oxford Craft Fair
Oxford Craft Fair are seeking local Oxfordshire artisans & crafts people, or traders with a folk or musical theme. They are also interested in working with sculptors to help decorate the site.
Folk Weekend Oxford – 20th – 22nd April 2012 - is the replacement for Oxford folk Festival, which was sadly cancelled in 2011. The Festival will be mainly based in The Old Fire Station, with events also happening at Wesley Memorial Church & Hall, Oxford Castle & the Ashmolean Museum.
Oxford Castle:
Oxford Castle, a short walk from the Old Fire Station is Oxford’s premiere attraction. The site was once home to the Norman Oxford Castle, then the infamous Oxford Prison. Parts of these historic buildings remain, and have shaped the development of Oxford Castle as it stands today. Oxford Castle – Unlocked is an exciting visitor attraction and the rest of the site is now home to a thriving hub of bars, restaurants & an art gallery. Folk Weekend visitors will be offered an Oxford Castle Key Card to unlock discounts to eat, drink & enjoy.
The Craft Fair will take place in the Oxford Castle Gardens at the heart of the site.
